Signalworks was founded by Eric Kuehnl, a composer, sound designer, educator, and working musician. He is Co-Director of the Music Technology Program at Foothill College and a freelance audio instructor for clients such as Avid and Pro Media Training. Previously, Eric worked in Avid's Education Department and served as Senior House Engineer for Sony Computer Entertainment America. His game-audio credits include projects for Sony, Insomniac, Ninja Theory, Factor 5, Namco Bandai, and other leading studios.

Eric's career has moved between recording studios, film stages, classrooms, and live performance. He is an Avid Master Instructor, holds degrees from California Institute of the Arts and Oberlin Conservatory, and continues to perform with a number of 80s tribute bands. That combination of technical depth and hands-on musicianship shapes Signalworks: practical audio tools built for real sessions and real players.
