Overview
80s Reverb is an algorithm-only effect included with 80s Suite and extracted from the 80s Rack wet effects block. It does not load user IRs.
The program selector provides five algorithm programs: Hall, Chamber, Plate, Ambient, and Room. Selecting a program from the panel recalls a matching set of starting values while preserving Mix.
Formats
80s Reverb is included as Universal 2 VST3, AU, and AAX on macOS 14 or later. The Windows 80s Suite 1.0.2 release includes native x64 VST3 and AAX.
Quick Start
- Insert 80s Reverb on an aux return or directly on a track.
- Leave BYPASS off.
- Choose a PROGRAM.
- Set DECAY, SIZE, PREDELAY, and MIX.
- Open the Advanced panel for damping, modulation, early reflections, width, and filters.
- Save a user preset once the reverb sits correctly in the song.

Factory Default is a separately tuned preset and may not use every Hall panel-recall value listed above. Selecting Hall from the panel or loading Factory Default recalls its starting values while preserving Mix.
Tips
- Use 80s Reverb on an aux return when several tracks should share the same space.
- For inserts, keep MIX lower so the dry sound stays forward.
- Use PREDELAY to keep transients clear before the reverb bloom.
- Reduce LOW CUT and HIGH CUT clutter by filtering the reverb rather than the dry track.
- If a program sounds close, save it as a user preset before trying another program. Panel program selection recalls new starting values while preserving MIX.
- Turn on Mix Lock when comparing full presets so the wet/dry balance stays fixed.
Troubleshooting
