Signalworks installers place the plug-ins and shared content in the standard system locations used by most hosts.
Before You Install
- Quit your DAW before running the installer.
- Keep a copy of the installer until you have confirmed the update opens correctly in your host.
- On macOS, 80s Suite and DualRig require macOS 14 or later. The macOS builds are Universal 2 for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
- The Windows 80s Suite 1.0.2 installer contains native x64 VST3 and AAX plug-ins for 80s Rack and all six effects, plus the 80s Rack standalone application.

After Installation
- Open your DAW.
- Let the DAW rescan plug-ins if it prompts you.
- Insert the plug-in on an audio track.
- For 80s Rack standalone, open
80s Rackfrom Applications on macOS or the Windows Start menu. - For 80s Suite, you can begin with the 20-minute demo or import the signed
.licfile from your license email in Settings > Licensing.
DualRig, IR Player, and DualIR Player are free and do not require a license file.
Updating
Running a newer installer replaces the installed plug-in bundles and keeps the shared Signalworks content folders in place. User presets and imported NAM/IR content remain in the shared folders unless you remove them manually. Imported license files remain in the current user's application-data folder.
Uninstalling
On macOS, remove the Signalworks plug-in bundles from the format folders above and remove /Applications/80s Rack.app if installed. On Windows, use Installed apps to uninstall the product. Shared presets, NAM models, and IR files can be kept for a later reinstall or removed separately. Imported licenses are stored per user in the application-data locations listed above.
