Overview
DualRig is a two-channel NAM rig for fast switching within a streamlined amp-and-cab workflow. Channel 1 is optimized for clean sounds and provides a routable Dry Thru output; Channel 2 is a streamlined second NAM path without Dry Thru. Either channel can load any NAM model. Both feed a shared stereo cabinet section and include snapshots, presets, an integrated local and TONE3000 NAM Librarian, and practical global setup controls.
Formats
DualRig ships for macOS 14 or later in Universal 2 AAX, AU, and VST3 formats, and for Windows as an x64 VST3. It is free and requires no license file, account activation, or machine authorization.
Basic Signal Flow
Input passes through Input Trim, then the Gate if the Gate is set to Pre. The active Channel 1 or Channel 2 Amp path processes the signal, followed by tone controls and Amp output level. The result feeds the two-Cab stereo cabinet section, then Output Trim. Enable BYPASS CABS when the loaded NAM already includes a cabinet or when you want to use cabinet processing later in the signal chain.
If the Gate is set to Post, it runs after the Amp instead of before it.
Channel 1 also has a Dry Thru send for hosts that expose the optional Dry Thru output bus. Dry Thru is off by default.
Factory Content
DualRig looks for factory NAM and IR content under:

The 12 bundled A2 NAM models cover three complementary amp families—AMERICAN, CHIME, and BRITISH—with CLEAN, EDGE, CRUNCH, and DRIVE gain stages for each. The models were captured without cabinet/IR processing. The NAM selector groups them as FACTORY > AMERICAN, CHIME, or BRITISH and also provides RECENT, OPEN NAM LIBRARY..., and LOAD MODEL....
The integrated NAM Librarian combines indexed local model folders with TONE3000 browsing. Search, Playtest, and load models into either channel without leaving the selection workflow.
The five-item Recent list is shared with 80s Rack and includes successfully loaded external NAM files. Factory models do not enter Recent.
DualRig includes eight mono cabinet IRs: an EVM12L 57 A/B stereo pair, a V30 57 A/B pair, and four GREENBACK choices captured with 57- and 606-family microphones. Each cab selector presents the complete list under FACTORY, followed by LOAD IR.... Factory Default uses the V30 57 A/B stereo pair.
The factory preset bank contains Factory Default, AMERICAN, CHIME, and BRITISH. Factory Default combines AMERICAN EDGE on Channel 1 with BRITISH CRUNCH on Channel 2; the other three presets provide family-focused starting rigs. Open the preset selector's FACTORY submenu to choose one.
The EVM12L IRs are by Satsuki Kuvit <km.202257@gmail.com> and are included with permission for Signalworks DSP products. The V30 and GREENBACK IRs are by Bastian Karschewski / Jester Dyne Productions and are licensed under CC0 1.0 Universal. Complete credits are installed with the factory cab files.

Quick Start
1. Insert DualRig
Add DualRig to a mono or stereo guitar track. The main output is stereo.
2. Start With the Defaults
On first launch, DualRig loads Factory Default: AMERICAN EDGE on Channel 1, BRITISH CRUNCH on Channel 2, and the V30 57 A/B stereo cabinet pair.
The preset selector's FACTORY submenu also includes AMERICAN, CHIME, and BRITISH family-focused starting rigs.
If you see a missing-model or missing-cab message, open Settings and confirm the NAM and IR directories point to the installed Signalworks content folders.
3. Pick the Active Channel
Use the CH 1 or CH 2 button/LED to choose which channel is active.

4. Choose a NAM Model
Use the NAM selector in either channel.

Leave NAM Auto Gain on while you get started. It applies NAM metadata-based input/output offsets when the model provides enough information.
5. Use the NAM Librarian
The Librarian scans one or more local folders recursively and also includes TONE3000 browsing. Use the source tabs, Search, architecture, folder, Favorites, Recent, and sort filters to narrow the list. For a TONE3000 tone containing multiple models, use the Model selector in the inspector to choose the exact capture. Choose Channel 1 or Channel 2 as the target.
PLAYTEST ON CH 1/2 auditions the selected local or TONE3000 model without replacing the committed assignment. While Playtest is active, selecting another tone or model switches the audition automatically; STOP PLAYTEST restores the previously committed assignment. LOAD TO CH 1/2 commits the choice and adds an external file to Recent. Use Reveal to show a local model on disk, Rescan All after changing the library, and Text Scale if the list is hard to read.
6. Set the Feel
Use NAM IN to change how hard the active model is driven. Use BASS, MID, and TREBLE for broad amp-style EQ. Use NAM OUT and the global OUT TRIM to set the final level.
If the gate cuts off notes, lower the Gate control or turn it fully down to OFF.
7. Shape the Cabs
Each cab slot can load an IR and has Low Cut, High Cut, Pan, Level, and Phase controls. Click its IR name and open FACTORY for the eight bundled cabs, or choose LOAD IR... for another compatible file.
For a simple stereo setup, keep Cab 1 panned left and Cab 2 panned right, then adjust Low Cut and High Cut to fit the track.
Enable BYPASS CABS when the selected NAM already includes a cabinet or when another plug-in will provide the cabinet sound. The bypass setting is saved with presets and snapshots.
8. Save the Sound
Use the preset strip to save reusable rigs. Use the eight snapshot slots for quick variations inside the current preset.
Drag a window corner to resize the interface proportionally from 75% to 125%.

NAM Librarian
Open OPEN NAM LIBRARY... from either NAM selector. One librarian window can target Channel 1 or Channel 2 and switch between local models and TONE3000 browsing.

The TONE3000 browser provides account connection, Amp and Amp + Cab search, A1/A2 filtering, model selection within packs, sorting, paging, optional thumbnails, Playtest, and Load Model from the same Librarian. Playtest uses a temporary model; while it is active, selecting another tone or model immediately switches the audition. Stop restores the previously committed channel model. Load Model saves the exact selected model locally and commits it to the chosen channel.
Cabinet Slots
DualRig has two cab slots and includes eight factory choices: EVM12L 57 A/B, V30 57 A/B, GREENBACK 57 A/B, and GREENBACK 606 A/B. Factory Default uses the V30 57 A/B stereo pair.

The main DualRig window resizes proportionally from 75% to 125% by dragging a corner.
Presets and Snapshots
Presets save the full rig state to disk. The FACTORY submenu contains Factory Default, AMERICAN, CHIME, and BRITISH. SAVE updates a selected user preset; factory or unsaved states open Save As. SAVE AS... always creates a separate user preset. NEW loads Factory Default as a starting point, then creates a new unsaved preset.
When a named preset is changed, the selector adds a trailing *. Selecting the current preset again reloads its stored state, discards temporary edits, and clears the marker.
Snapshots give you eight in-preset slots for fast variations. Use SAVE, COPY, PASTE, CLEAR, and COMPARE from the snapshot strip.
Clicking the active snapshot again reapplies its saved state and discards temporary edits. Empty slots do nothing on direct click.
Troubleshooting
No Sound
Check the active channel first. If the selected Channel 1 or Channel 2 row has no NAM model loaded, DualRig will not produce processed output from that channel.
Then check:

IN TRIMis not too low. -
OUT TRIMis not too low. - Gate is not set above the guitar signal.
- The track input is reaching the plug-in.
Missing NAM Message
DualRig searches the configured NAM directory and the shared Signalworks content folder. The default shared location is:

Open Settings and point the NAM Directory to the folder that contains your .nam files. Then choose a factory model, open the NAM librarian, or use LOAD MODEL... from the NAM selector.
If a Recent item is no longer available, selecting it removes the stale entry. Load the file again from its current location to return it to Recent.
Missing Cab Message
DualRig searches the configured IR directory and the shared Signalworks content folder. The default shared location is:

If the default PW left/right cabs are missing, load two cab IR files manually or reinstall the shared content package.
The Sound Is Too Bright Or Direct
The cabinet pair may be missing or bypassed by a failed load. Load valid IR files, then use HIGH CUT to reduce top end.
Notes Get Cut Off
Turn the Gate control down. At OFF, the threshold is effectively disabled.
If you still want gating, open Settings and adjust Gate Attack, Hold, Release, and Position.
Level Jumps After Loading A Model
Leave NAM Auto Gain on for factory content. If a custom NAM has unusual metadata, turn Auto Gain off and set NAM IN and NAM OUT manually.
Clicks Or CPU Spikes
Raise the hardware buffer or reduce other real-time processing in the session. Real performance depends on the host, sample rate, model, IRs, and session load.
The NAM Librarian Does Not Show A File
The local librarian indexes .nam files. Confirm its containing folder is one of the configured library roots, then choose Rescan. Clear Search, Architecture, Folder, Favorites, and Recent filters if the file is still hidden.
Playtest is temporary. Use LOAD MODEL to commit the selected model to Channel 1 or Channel 2 and add it to Recent.
